Mō te Tūranga | About the role:
We're looking for a passionate and talented Commis Chef who takes pride in delivering exceptional food and outstanding guest experiences. In this role, you'll support the kitchen team in preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality dishes that delight our customers, while also assisting with a variety of kitchen duties as directed by the senior Chef on shift. To thrive in this role, you'll need to be flexible and available to work a rotating roster across a variety of shifts.
You will also;
Be a strong advocate for food safety and hygiene
Ensure stock is controlled and rotated as required
Mōu | About you:
It'll be your winning attitude, excellent customer service skills, and ability to work under pressure which will make you a great fit for SkyCity. You will demonstrate proven cookery techniques and a genuine passion for quality food, as well as having an eye for detail and taking great care and pride in your work.
To be successful in this role, you will also;
Be a strong multitasker with great problem solving skills
Be a team player who can collaborate and work to agreed targets and demands
Have fantastic interpersonal skills and be a confident and clear communicator
Be well presented with a high level of professionalism
Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to work a variety of shifts
Have (or be studying towards) a relevant culinary trade qualification
