About the Opportunity | Mō tēnei tūranga

We're looking for a motivated and people-focused leader to join our team as Store Manager - Oamaru.

As Store Manager, you'll lead the overall performance of the store, ensuring an exceptional customer experience while delivering strong commercial and operational outcomes. You'll play a key role in supporting our farmer owners, leading a high-performing team, and representing Farm Source within the local community.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading the day-to-day operation of the Oamaru store and delivering against sales, service and financial targets.
Building, coaching and developing a highly engaged team through effective leadership and mentoring.
Creating outstanding customer experiences and fostering strong relationships with farmers, shareholders and local stakeholders.
Driving retail excellence through strong inventory, operational and financial management.
Championing a positive health, safety and wellbeing culture across the site.
Working collaboratively with internal teams and suppliers to deliver value and support farmer success.
Identifying opportunities to grow store performance while ensuring strong retail discipline and operational excellence.

About You | Mōu

You're an enthusiastic and capable people leader who enjoys developing others, building relationships and achieving results.

You bring a hands-on leadership style, strong commercial acumen and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences. You're comfortable leading from the front, coaching your team and rolling up your sleeves when needed to ensure the store succeeds.

Ideally you'll have:

Previous retail, branch, operations or store management experience.
Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills.
Demonstrated ability to improve customer service and build long-term relationships.
Proven financial and commercial management capability.
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
A commitment to health, safety and continuous improvement.
Knowledge of the rural sector or an affinity for agriculture would be an advantage.
