At Fonterra Te Mātāpuna, we want everyone to feel they can be themselves.
Whether you're early in your career or ready for your next step, Fonterra offers a unique opportunity to grow with a global dairy co-operative that values care, collaboration, and contribution.
Owned by New Zealand dairy farmers and supported by a dedicated team, we are all working together to create a better future. Imagine tomorrow with us, where your career can grow, and you can create positive change.
About us | He kupu mō mātou
Our Pahiatua site specialises in producing whole milk powder that is exported to markets around the world. During peak milking season, Pahiatua processes up to 4 million litres of milk every day.
About the Opportunity | Mō tēnei tūranga
We have an exciting opportunity for an organised and proactive Site Administrator to join our team, based at Pahiatua and providing support across Pahiatua, Longburn and our MFU operations. Reporting to the Site Operations Manager, you’ll provide trusted administrative and coordination support that helps our leaders and teams stay focused on their operational priorities.
This is a varied role where no two days will look quite the same. You’ll coordinate meetings, calendars and site events, prepare reports, presentations and communications, and support a range of site projects and initiatives across people, wellbeing and continuous improvement. You’ll also play an important role in onboarding new team members, coordinating leadership and customer visits, supporting site audits and helping keep day-to-day site activities running smoothly.
Working closely with leaders and teams across all three locations, you’ll build strong relationships and become a trusted go-to person for getting things organised and keeping everyone connected. From arranging travel and events through to supporting site communications, contractors and administration activities, there’s plenty of variety and opportunity to make the role your own.
About You | Mōu
You’ll be an experienced administrator who enjoys variety, takes pride in staying one step ahead and knows how to bring structure to a busy working environment.
Naturally organised and approachable, you’ll be comfortable supporting multiple leaders and balancing competing priorities across different locations. You’ll build trusted relationships at all levels, communicate clearly and professionally, and handle sensitive information with care and discretion.
You’ll also bring a positive, solutions-focused attitude and be willing to identify better and more efficient ways of working.
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:
- Previous experience in an administration, coordination or team-support role.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience coordinating diaries, meetings, site and community events and travel arrangements.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience preparing professional reports, presentations and business documents.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A friendly, professional and customer-focused approach.
- The ability to use initiative, work independently and know when to seek support or clarification.
- A high level of attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.
- Confidence learning new technology, systems and processes, including using digital and AI tools to work more efficiently.
- A full New Zealand driver licence and the flexibility to travel between Pahiatua, Longburn and MFU as required.
Experience supporting projects, operational teams, audits or site-based activities would be an advantage, as would a current First Aid Certificate or Fire Warden experience.
