About the role
We are seeking a Road Maintenance Labourer (Cyclic Crew Member) to join the Higgins team on the East Waikato Integrated Delivery Contract (IDC) with NZTA, covering the Hauraki Plains and Coromandel Peninsula.
Based from our Morrinsville branch, you'll help maintain and improve the local roading network through a variety of maintenance, repair and emergency response activities. This is a hands-on outdoor role offering plenty of variety and the opportunity to work across some of the Waikato's most scenic locations.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out general road maintenance and repair works
Complete drainage, pothole, crack sealing and pre-seal repairs
Assist with vegetation control and roadside maintenance
Operate tools, equipment and small plant
Participate in an on-call roster for incident and emergency response
Complete daily records and reporting using mobile technology
What You'll Bring
Full Class 1 Driver Licence
Experience in road maintenance, civil construction, infrastructure or a similar outdoor environment
Confidence using tools, equipment and small plant
Strong commitment to health and safety
Reliable, practical and able to work well as part of a team
Class 2, 4, WTR endorsements or Mobile STMS qualifications are advantageous
