About the role
Are you passionate about aged care and ready to lead with purpose? Ryman Healthcare is looking for an experienced and dedicated Regional Clinical Lead to support our clinical teams.
Lead and inspire clinical teams in a sector you're passionate about.
Ongoing professional development to grow your career in aged care leadership.
A collaborative and innovative team culture focused on excellence in care.
About Ryman
Ryman is a leader in retirement living and care, employing over 7,700 people in New Zealand and Australia across a wide range of areas, including nursing, village operations, sales, technology, design, and corporate roles.
At Ryman, exceptional care is thoughtfully delivered every day. From meals and activities to maintenance and support, our teams work together so residents can feel confident everything is taken care of – because behind that promise is the standard we’ve always held ourselves to: it’s got to be good enough for mum and dad.
We’re in a period of real transformation, focussing on stronger commercial outcomes, smarter ways of working, and continuing to set the standard in retirement living and aged care.
If you share those values and you're looking for a career where your work truly makes a difference, we'd love to hear from you.
What will you do?
We're looking for an experienced Regional Clinical Lead to partner with our villages in the north island, New Zealand and help drive exceptional clinical outcomes for residents. This will require you to be based in Auckland with commitment to travel to villages outside of greater Auckland.
In this role, you'll work closely with Village Managers, Clinical Managers and operational leaders to strengthen clinical practice, develop leadership capability and support the consistent delivery of high-quality care. Acting as a trusted advisor, you'll provide practical guidance, coaching and support to help villages manage risk, embed best practice and continuously improve clinical performance.
Other key responsibilities include:
Partnering with village and operational leaders to support clinical quality, resident outcomes and operational performance
Coaching and mentoring Clinical Managers, Unit Coordinators and emerging clinical leaders
Supporting workforce development, succession planning and leadership capability across villages
Using audit, incident, complaint and clinical data to identify risks, trends and improvement opportunities
Supporting villages to implement, evaluate and sustain quality improvement initiatives
Promoting consistent clinical governance and resident-centred decision-making
Helping villages prepare for certification, accreditation and assurance activities
Supporting the implementation of clinical standards, regulatory changes and organisational initiatives
Sharing best practice and lessons learned across villages to strengthen consistency and continuous improvement
Partnering with village teams to support positive resident and family experiences
What’s in it for you?
In addition, a career at Ryman offers:
Opportunity to add to your professional skills
Additional wellbeing leave and flexible working arrangements
Access to over 60 discounts with well-known brands across a variety of sectors including; health and wellbeing, banking, insurance, and retail
Social club events, furry Friday’s (bring your dog to work)
Who are you?
Hold a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC) with extensive aged care experience.
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire clinical teams.
You have a passion for developing people and helping teams grow their capability
You're skilled at building trusted relationships and influencing outcomes across a variety of stakeholders
You have experience using quality, audit, incident and performance data to drive improvements
You think strategically and are not afraid to roll your sleeves up and get down to the practical work too
You value people and kindness and are passionate about delivering results
You strive for excellence and look for ways to exceed expectations. You can deliver with confidence in a fast-paced environment
You believe in the value of strong, positive, trusting teams who work together as one
You are resilient and can demonstrate composure under pressure
You value communication that is simple, clear and straight to the point
At Ryman, digital confidence and commercial awareness are expectations we hold across every role. We are looking for people who are comfortable using data, reporting tools, and digital systems to inform decisions, understand how their work contributes to business outcomes, and embrace new ways of working. Curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to grow your capability are key as our business continues to evolve.
We support an environment where everyone feels welcome to be themselves. We embrace diversity and celebrate individual uniqueness, encouraging anyone wanting to work for Ryman to apply for our vacant positions.
