Join Our Team as a Plant Fitter!
Who we are looking for:
We’re looking for a hands-on Plant Fitter to help keep our quarry running safely, reliably and efficiently. In this role, you’ll be central to keeping production moving — tackling preventative and reactive maintenance, diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs and supporting continuous improvement across the site. You’ll be a key link between operations and maintenance, ensuring plant work is completed safely, efficiently and to Rangitikei Aggregates’ standards.
Your key responsibilities include:
Maintenance & Engineering — Complete planned, preventative and reactive maintenance on quarry infrastructure.
Daily Checks — Carry out inspections and audits to spot faults, hazards and improvement opportunities.
Fault Diagnosis — Identify root causes, implement corrective actions and help reduce downtime.
Repairs & Fabrication — Perform welding, cutting, fabrication, fitting and project work.
Reporting — Maintain accurate records and contribute to maintenance planning and improvement activity.
Safety & Hazard Management — Identify hazards, follow isolation and permit to work processes, and support HS&E initiativesWhat this role offers:
Guaranteed 40 hours - Monday to Friday and some Saturdays on roster
Weekly paid, hourly rate from $40.00
What You’ll Bring
Trade qualification in engineering, fitting, mechanical maintenance or similar experience, preferably in quarries
Safety mindset — strong commitment to upholding Health & Safety standards; able to work safely in noisy, dusty or hot environments.
Communication & teamwork — clear communicator who can work independently and build strong relationships across the site.
Planning & prioritisation — able to organise maintenance tasks effectively and respond to operational priorities.

✅ NZ Class 1 Drivers Licence
✅ Right to work in New Zealand
