Imagine Tomorrow with Us | Ata whakaarohia tō āpōpō

At Fonterra, we want everyone to feel they can be themselves.

Whether you're early in your career or ready for your next step, Fonterra offers a unique opportunity to grow with a global dairy co-operative that values care, collaboration, and contribution.

Owned by New Zealand dairy farmers and supported by a dedicated team, we are all working together to create a better future. Imagine tomorrow with us, where your career can grow, and you can create positive change.

About us | He kupu mō mātou

Step into a dynamic role with Farm Source and become part of a team of agricultural experts committed to supporting New Zealand farmers. As the newest member of our Paeroa store, you'll play a key role in delivering trusted advice and outstanding service to our customers while building strong relationships within the local farming community.

As a Sales Specialist - Technical, you'll work in a unique hybrid position that combines the responsibilities of a Sales Specialist with exposure to the Technical Sales Representative (TSR) space. You'll support customers both in-store and on-farm, helping them identify the right products and solutions for their farming operations. From merchandising and customer service through to farm visits and sales campaigns, no two days will be the same.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with exposure to the agricultural industry who is looking to further develop their technical capability. While knowledge of areas such as animal nutrition, pasture management, or weed identification would be advantageous, we're ultimately looking for someone with a genuine passion for agriculture, a strong customer focus, and the motivation to build a long-term career in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Store Manager to maximise sales through proactive planning and targeted campaigns.
Conduct on-farm visits to maintain strong visibility and relationships with customers.
Keep detailed records of activities and ensure the customer database is always current.
Understand the seasonal cycles of farming and their impact on both the farmer's and our business.
Continuously grow your knowledge across key product categories and technical farming solutions.
Please note: Hours of work will be Monday to Friday and rostered Saturdays.

About You | Mōu

You'll be a self-motivated, adaptable team member with excellent customer service and communication skills. You'll have a high level of physical fitness and enjoy a hands-on role, with the ability to undertake repetitive manual handling, including lifting 25kg bags of product on a daily basis.

Sound like you? We're particularly interested in people who:

Have customer service and/or sales experience, along with exposure to farming or the wider agricultural sector.

Are passionate about agriculture and motivated to build a long-term career within the industry.

Have a willingness to learn and develop technical expertise across areas such as animal nutrition, pasture management, and weed identification.
Enjoy building strong customer relationships and providing practical solutions.
Have a good level of physical fitness. You'll have no trouble getting your daily steps in!
Hold a full, clean driver's licence. A manual licence would be beneficial.
If you're passionate about agriculture, enjoy working with farmers, and are looking for a role that offers both customer-facing and technical development opportunities, we'd love to hear from you
