About the Opportunity | Mō tēnei tūranga
As Fonterra continues to strengthen its data and AI capabilities, effective information governance has never been more important. We're looking for an Information Governance Chapter Lead to help shape how information is owned, managed, and trusted across the Co-op. Working as part of the Information Management team, you'll turn governance requirements into practical approaches that help teams manage information with confidence and support the responsible use of AI.
This is a highly influential role where you'll work across the business to strengthen information practices, build capability, and embed clear ownership and accountability. You'll lead the Information Management chapter and communities of practice, bringing together information specialists and business stakeholders to drive consistency and support better information management across the organisation.
Beyond direct team leadership, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of information governance at Fonterra, influencing frameworks, operating models, and organisational maturity across the Co-op. You will also work closely with your counterparts in the Data and AI Chapters.
About You | Mōu
You're an experienced leader in information governance, information management, records management, or a related discipline. You know how to translate governance requirements into practical approaches that people can understand and adopt across a large organisation.
You enjoy working across a broad stakeholder landscape, bringing people together around a common approach, and influencing outcomes without relying on direct authority. Whether partnering with business leaders, governance functions, or specialist communities, you're skilled at building alignment and driving consistent ways of working.
You'll bring experience establishing governance frameworks, operating models, standards, or capability-building initiatives that strengthen information practices across an organisation. Experience leading and developing teams will also be important, as you'll play a key role in growing capability both within the chapter and across the wider Information Management community.
