What will you do?
We have two opportunities for experienced Health & Safety Business Partners to join our team, based at our Ellerslie, Auckland office.
You’ll partner with operational leaders to strengthen how health and safety risks are understood, owned and embedded into everyday decision-making, bringing practical expertise, evidence-based insight and constructive challenge where it matters most.
Key responsibilities include:
Build trusted relationships with senior and frontline leaders, influencing better health and safety outcomes
Partner on operational planning, change and contractor-related activity to ensure material risks are identified and considered early
Lead critical risk and field-based assurance activities, testing whether controls are present, understood, used and effective in real operating conditions
Coach and challenge leaders to strengthen their capability and ownership of health and safety
Lead or support incident and near-miss reviews, identifying underlying causes and turning learning into sustainable improvements
Use data, incident trends and assurance findings to identify emerging risks and recommend targeted action
Work across operational and specialist teams to address systemic issues and strengthen risk controls
Provide clear reporting, insights and recommendations to operational leaders and governance forums

Who are you?
You hold a relevant Health & Safety qualification and have strong business partnering experience in an operational environment, preferably healthcare.
You’re skilled in critical risk management, operational assurance, incident investigation and practical control improvement
You’re a confident coach and influencer who builds trusted relationships and constructively challenges leaders
You’re comfortable working in the field to understand how work happens and whether controls are effective, not just documented
You can use data and insights to identify trends, prioritise risk and drive improvement
You have sound knowledge of health and safety legislation and can apply it practically
You’re comfortable travelling across multiple sites when required
