We have two exciting opportunities for highly organised administrators to join the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences at the University of Auckland, based on our Grafton Campus. Working closely with academic and professional staff, you'll play an important role in supporting teaching, learning and programme administration while helping deliver an exceptional experience for staff and students.
Role One: BHSc Programme Transition - Fixed-term (3 years), Full-time
Join a significant programme transformation as the University launches a redesigned Bachelor of Health Sciences (BHSc). In this role, you'll provide high-quality administrative support to help coordinate programme implementation and support the successful transition to the new curriculum.
Role Two: Bachelor of Biomedical Science (BBiomedSc) - Permanent, Full-time
Join the team supporting the new Bachelor of Biomedical Science (BBiomedSc). Working alongside academic colleagues, you'll help coordinate teaching and programme administration that prepares students for careers in research and innovation through an integrated curriculum connecting the science of disease with real-world diagnosis and treatment.
Key responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive teaching and course administration support to academic staff.
Coordinate curriculum information, course outlines and timetabling requirements.
Support academic staff and students with Learning Management Systems, including course setup, content management and grade submission processes.
Assist with assessment and examination administration, including tests, aegrotat applications and examiner nominations.
Support postgraduate administration processes and student-related activities.
Facilitate Staff-Student Consultative Committees and support stakeholder engagement.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while delivering excellent customer service.
The salary range for these roles are $56,400 - $67,000 depending on skills and experience

You are a proactive and adaptable administrator who enjoys building positive working relationships and supporting others to succeed. You take pride in delivering accurate, responsive service and can confidently manage competing priorities in a busy environment.
You'll be comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders including academic staff, professional staff and students. A positive attitude, strong organisational skills and a willingness to support colleagues are key to your success.
You will bring:
Essential
NCEA Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience.
Minimum 3-4 years' experience in an administrative role within a large and complex organisation.
Experience in a fast-paced administrative or programme coordination role, preferably within a tertiary education or complex public sector environment.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications and strong technological literacy.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide sound advice and exercise good judgement.
Experience supporting multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities.
A proactive, flexible approach and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Adaptability and resilience, with the ability to work through periods of organisational change and ambiguity.
A strong customer service focus and commitment to continuous improvement.
Preferred
A tertiary qualification.
At least two years' experience working within an educational institution.
Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Experience working with student management systems or database-driven software.
Previous experience supporting teaching and course administration processes.
