About the role

Higgins is expanding our Chipseal Surfacing operation in the Bay of Plenty and we're looking for experienced operators to join our new crew based in Mount Maunganui.

If you've worked in chip sealing and enjoy being part of a team that delivers quality surfacing work safely and efficiently, we'd like to hear from you. We're recruiting for multiple positions and are particularly interested in experienced operators who can hit the ground running for the upcoming sealing season. The roles involve operating chipseal plant and equipment, including rollers, loaders, brooms, chip trucks, and specialist sealing equipment, while contributing to quality, productivity, and safety on site.

Current Opportunities

Specialist Operator – Bitumen Sprayer Driver

Experienced operating bitumen spray trucks and specialist chipseal plant
Class 2 licence and WTR endorsements required
Class 4 licence preferred
Strong understanding of chip sealing operations, spread rates, materials, and quality requirements
Able to work safely and independently while supporting the wider crew

Operators – Chipseal Surfacing

Experience operating rollers, loaders, tractor brooms, chip trucks, or similar equipment
Chipseal or roading experience preferred
Class 2 licence preferred
WTR endorsements beneficial depending on equipment operated
Team-focused with a strong commitment to safety and quality

What You'll Bring
