About the role
Are you a reliable and safety-focused driver looking to join a company that keeps New Zealand moving? Higgins Wellington is seeking a motivated Driver to support our drainage construction and maintenance operations across the region.
This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for safely transporting materials, plant, and equipment to drainage projects while working alongside our crews to deliver essential infrastructure for local communities.
What you'll be doing
Operating company vehicles to transport materials, plant, and equipment
Supporting construction and maintenance crews on-site when required
Completing vehicle checks and ensuring equipment is maintained to a high standard
Following all safety procedures and transport regulations
Assisting with loading and unloading materials
Working collaboratively with site teams to ensure projects run smoothly
What you'll bring
Minimum Class 2 Driver Licence
Class 4 Licence advantageous
Proven commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards
A positive attitude and strong work ethic
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Good communication skills and reliability
Experience in the civil construction, roading, transport, or infrastructure industries is preferred but not essential
