About the Opportunity | Mō tēnei tūranga

We're looking for a Data Products Manager to lead and define the Farm Source data strategy, and help shape how data drives better outcomes for farmers, our people and the wider Co-operative.

As a key leader in the Farm Source Digital, Data & AI team, this is a unique opportunity to define the data strategy, data products roadmap and priorities for a large and complex data environment that supports timely decision-making, digital experiences, on-farm performance and AI-enabled solutions across Farm Source and for our farmers. You'll work closely with business leaders, digital product teams and enterprise partners to identify opportunities, prioritise investment and ensure data products deliver meaningful value.

Leading a multidisciplinary team spanning Analytics and Data Engineering, Data Stewardship, and Master Data, you'll play a critical role in building trusted, well-governed and reusable data capabilities that support both today's business needs and the future of data and AI across Farm Source.

About You | Mōu

You're a strategic and commercially minded people leader who enjoys translating business priorities into practical solutions and bringing teams together around a shared vision. You thrive in environments where you can balance competing priorities, influence stakeholders and make decisions that create meaningful business value.

As an experienced leader who prioritises people, culture and inclusion, you'll be comfortable operating at both a strategic and operational level, shaping long-term direction while staying connected to delivery outcomes with your team. You know how to navigate complexity, lead through change and build strong relationships across business and technology teams to achieve results. A strong understanding of data products development, governance within large complex organisations, and experience in enterprise data platforms, will see you leading a talented data team with a mandate to transform Farm Source to a future-state that leverages data on-demand and accelerates AI opportunities.

You'll bring:

10+ years' experience across data management functions, reporting & analytics, data engineering, or product management roles within large organisations. Sufficient understanding of the underlying technical aspects to articulate business interests confidently.
Ability to lead data governance, data quality, analytics, cloud data platforms and emerging AI opportunities
Proven experience translating business strategy and user needs into prioritised data products, strategic roadmaps, and managed portfolios. Strong ability to balance priorities, dependencies and shape investment decisions.
Experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams spanning data engineering, analytics, stewardship and master data, with a strong focus on developing high-performing people, growing capability, creating open and trusting team environments, and enabling collaborative ways of working that allow people to thrive.
Strong commercial acumen, including business case development, funding proposals, budget planning and value realisation
Understanding of data pipeline and BI/reporting fundamentals (data modelling, ingestion, semantic layers) to connect technical work with business outcomes and prioritisation
