About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced sous Chef at Jane Winstone Retirement Village in Whanganui. This is a casual position covering annual and sick leave.
In this role you will:
Collaborate with the kitchen team to create an exceptional dining experience that's 'good enough for mum'.
Provide coverage of the Senior Lead Chef during their days off.
Prepare delicious meals from our seasonal menus, rich in variety, flavour and nutrition.
Cater to different residents' dietary needs.
Assist with specialty food for fine dining experiences and functions.
Operate with health and safety as a key consideration at all times.
About You
To thrive in our environment you will have:
New Zealand Certificate in Cookery (level 3)
Proven experience as a Chef, leading a team and running a kitchen
Outstanding communication skills
A reliable, friendly and professional manner
