Mō te Tūranga | About the role:
As a Chef de Partie, you will oversee junior chefs and provide support to the Sous Chef to ensure delivery of high-quality professional food preparation and cookery services to SkyCity Hamilton customers, through the provision of excellent quality food and meals in the SkyCity Hamilton outlets.
You'll also:
Be a role model for SkyCity's values for people leadership
Assist in achieving EBITDA through operational management
Be the initial point of contact for supervisory and frontline employees and to know when to escalate any issues to the Sous chef
Demonstrate proactivity in delivery, process improvement, and health and safety
Maintain excellent relationships with back and front of house colleagues
This is a Full-time opportunity, working 40 hours per week, on a roster which includes nights and weekends.

Have fantastic interpersonal skills and be a confident and clear communicator
Be well presented with a high level of professionalism
Demonstrated supervisory experience
Excellent cooking and food preparation and presentation skills
Excellent time management skills
Demonstrated knowledge of hygiene/occupational health and safety requirements
Excellent personal presentation and can demonstrate understanding of the hygiene requirements of the role
Need to have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and think on your feet
Be prepared to be flexible with regard to working hours and willing and able to undertake shift work requirements
