Tā mātou arawātea | Our Opportunity:

Love great design and want to see your work out in the world? We're looking for a Brand Designer to join our award-winning Brand & Marketing team on a full-time, 12-month fixed-term basis, covering parental leave.

You'll support the Marketing team and business units across Mercury with design and brand requests, helping create assets, templates and materials that look great and perform well across every channel, internal and external. You'll also help apply and evolve our brand and visual identity day to day.

Tāu e mahi ai | What you'll be doing:

Interpreting briefs and developing design concepts, graphics and layouts that support strategy and business needs

Producing templated and bespoke work across internal documents, signage, video, infographics and merchandise

Creating performance marketing media in-house, including paid search (Google, Performance Max), social media (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest) and organic-feel native content across LinkedIn, our website, blog and social

Supporting brand asset development, including image editing, and helping brief and manage external designers, agencies and printers

Applying Mercury's brand and visual identity, contributing ideas to help our design systems grow, and building your knowledge of best practice across advertising, web and social

Collaborating with teams across Mercury, including Sustainability, HR, Internal Comms, Investor Relations, Customer Experience and Community Engagement

Nice to have (not essential):

Basic video editing and animation skills

Experience using AI platforms for creative ideation or production support, and workflow tools such as Lucid or Jira
