About the role
Ata whakaarohia tō āpōpō | Imagine Tomorrow with Us
At Te Mātāpuna Fonterra, we want everyone to feel they can be themselves.
Whether you're early in your career or ready for your next step, Fonterra offers a unique opportunity to grow with a global dairy co-operative that values care, collaboration and contribution.
Owned by New Zealand dairy farmers and supported by a dedicated team, we are all working together to create a better future. Imagine tomorrow with us, where your career can grow and you can create positive change.
He kupu mō mātou | About us
Our Talent Acquisition team connects great people with opportunities across the Co-op. We partner with hiring teams throughout Fonterra to deliver positive recruitment experiences and help build the capability our organisation needs.
Within our team, this role provides hands-on recruitment delivery across defined job families while supporting broader Talent Acquisition priorities through candidate sourcing, screening and talent-pipeline activity.
Mō tēnei tūranga | About the opportunity
As an Associate Talent Acquisition Partner, you’ll own end-to-end recruitment across defined, repeatable job families, managing activity from an approved vacancy through to offer acceptance across a national portfolio.
These are roles where the hiring need and recruitment approach are well understood, allowing you to focus on great execution, pace, candidate engagement and consistent delivery.
You’ll work directly with hiring managers and candidates to:
Source, screen and assess talent against clearly defined requirements.
Manage recruitment activity from vacancy approval through to offer.
Build and maintain strong pipelines for recurring recruitment needs.
Provide timely updates and a positive, consistent candidate experience.
Support sourcing and screening across other priority areas when needed.
This is a hands-on delivery role with plenty of freedom in how you organise your work. We’ll give you clear outcomes, the tools and support to achieve them, and trust you to work out the best way to get there.
Things won’t always be perfectly mapped out. Priorities will shift, sometimes you’ll be working with incomplete information, and there won’t always be a process telling you exactly what to do next.
We want someone with the judgement and experience to make a call, take action and keep things moving.
You’ll manage multiple candidates, vacancies and stakeholder relationships at once, so you’ll need to be organised, adaptable and comfortable working without lots of structure around you.
Mōu | About you
You’ve already built solid, hands-on recruitment experience and are ready for greater ownership.
Ideally, you’ll bring around 12–24 months’ end-to-end recruitment experience in a fast-paced delivery environment, where you’ve been personally accountable for progressing multiple vacancies and candidate pipelines at the same time.
You’re used to roles that need filling, candidates who need answers and priorities that can change before lunchtime. You know how to pick up a vacancy, quickly understand what’s needed, find and engage candidates, assess fit and keep the process moving through to offer.
You’ll bring:
Hands-on end-to-end recruitment experience, including personally sourcing, screening, assessing and progressing candidates through to offer.
Experience managing multiple live vacancies and candidate pipelines simultaneously, with accountability for delivering outcomes.
A strong bias for action, with the judgement to make a call, get started and adjust as you learn.
Genuine ownership and comfort working with ambiguity, changing priorities and freedom in how you structure your work.
A highly coachable approach and openness to doing things differently. You actively seek feedback, apply it quickly and want to keep developing your recruitment craft.
You’ll also bring strong candidate-management skills, confidence having direct and practical conversations, and the organisation required to move quickly without becoming messy.
You don’t need to arrive as the finished product. In fact, we’re looking for someone who is still keen to learn and grow.
Bring us strong recruitment foundations, initiative, curiosity and a genuine openness to coaching, and we’ll give you the opportunity to build from there.
We’ll give you clarity on what success looks like, the tools to get there and support when you need it. We won’t give you a script for every step along the way.
