About the role

Are you ready to make a significant impact on a transformative project? Fletcher Construction is seeking an experienced Administrator to join our team for Te Wai Takamori o Te Awa Kairangi (Te Awa Kairangi).

About the Role

If you're the kind of administrator who likes being at the centre of the action, enjoys variety in your day, and takes pride in keeping things organised, this could be the perfect fit. Based in our East Zone project office in Lower Hutt, you'll be the go-to person who keeps the site office running smoothly, supports the project team, and ensures the details don't get missed. This is a hands-on role where initiative, confidence, and a practical approach will be highly valued.

Provide day-to-day administration and reception support for a busy project office
Coordinate meetings, prepare documentation, take minutes, and distribute information
Manage timesheets, leave forms, onboarding administration, and staff records
Process purchasing and procurement documentation through project systems
Maintain site registers, visitor records, office supplies, and general office facilities
Organise office functions, catering, couriers, and support services to keep operations running smoothly

What you’ll bring to the role

We're looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership, works well with different stakeholders, and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves to get things done.

Proven administration experience in a fast-paced environment
Previous construction, engineering, infrastructure, or trade-related industry experience highly regarded
Strong organisational skills with the ability to juggle competing priorities
Confident communicator who can build positive relationships with site teams, suppliers, and stakeholders
Solid computer skills across Microsoft Office and business systems
A proactive, practical approach with the initiative to identify problems and follow tasks through to completion

About Te Awa Kairangi

Te Awa Kairangi Alliance is delivering transport, walking and cycling improvements to the SH2 Melling interchange and rail station, as part of a wider flood protection and city revitalisation programme.   Fletcher Construction is working with Alliance partners AECOM, NZTA, Taranaki Whānui and Ngāti Toa Rangatira to deliver this transformative project.
