About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our supportive team at our brand-new Richard Hadlee Retirement Village in Christchurch as an Activity and Lifestyle Coordinator. This is a Part Time position working Saturday and Sunday, 1.00pm to 5.00pm.
Working within our Special Care Unit, you'll help create meaningful moments that bring enjoyment, connection and purpose to each day. Through activities, social engagement and individual support, you'll play an important role in enhancing residents' wellbeing and quality of life.
In this role, you will:
Support the delivery of enjoyable activities tailored to residents' interests, abilities and individual needs
Encourage participation and build meaningful connections that support resident wellbeing
Facilitate small group and one-to-one activities that promote engagement and enjoyment
Support residents to remain active, connected and involved in daily life
Build positive relationships with residents, families and team members
Use digital tools to record participation and support programme planning
About You

Experience delivering activities in aged care, recreation, community services or a similar environment
A genuine passion for creating positive experiences for others
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Creativity, initiative and great organisational skills
Confidence engaging with residents and supporting individual needs
A warm, empathetic and resident-focused approach
Digital confidence and the ability to learn new systems and technology
