We are looking for an experienced Heavy Maintenance Foreperson to join our WDC contract based in Ngāruawāhia.
In this role, you’ll see yourself responsible for a variety of jobs throughout the Waikato. On a day-to-day basis the work involves leading our heavy maintenance crew to deliver a quality service to all our customers and stakeholders. Maintaining day to day production programmes, ensuring our high standard of H&S are met as well as; quality control, minor drainage work, culvert clearing, pavement dig out repairs, road shoulder repairs, slip clean up /repairs and emergency response.
In addition to the above you will:
Hold a full class 2 licence minimum.
Have WTR endorsement with excavator experience.
Be experienced in civil construction - 2 years minimum.
Have maintenance contract and leadership experience.
Be mechanically and practically minded.
Good level of physical fitness due to the manual labour element of this role.
Hold STMS qualifications - preferred not essential.
Be a effective communicator and have a positive attitude.
Be a team player, self-motivated and take pride in your work.
Have passion and commitment to safety in the workplace.
