The Sector Advisor plays a critical role in the delivery of NZTE’s sector-based work, turning sector-based work into value for NZTE’s exporter customers, working in parallel with NZTE’s Sector Leads.
What you’ll be doing - Te whakamahere
This role will support Sector Leads and manage the programme of NZTE’s sector-based work, including relationship planning and ensuring project delivery. This work may include coordinating sponsored activities, periodic internal and industry communication, NZTE-led events or contributions to other industry-led initiatives. The role will also manage NZTE’s sectoral knowledge, including supporting the Sector Leads to deliver periodic sectoral insights to NZTE teams and customers, and provide ownership and organisational leadership for NZTE’s Sector Taxonomy; (This is the categorisation system used by NZTE to classify its customers by sector and subsector and is a key element of NZTE’s data infrastructure). - You will have experience delivering on programmes of work and using data and insights to inform strategy and decision making.- You will have strong stakeholder and relationship management skills with the ability to communicate with diplomacy and tact and build positive relationships.- You will be highly organised with the ability to prioritise and deliver outcomes to meet deadlines.- You will be collaborative but with the ability to work autonomously and be self-directed.- You will be naturally curious with an eye for seeing opportunities and problem solving.- You will be an active team contributor to developing ideas, strategies and actions.
