We’re seeking experienced (Civil) Laboratory Technicians to join us at our Mount Wellington, Auckland Yard.

This role will have you working within a team that covers the quality control testing of Aggregates, Asphalt, Binders, and Road Materials. Your environment will be in both the laboratory and out on project sites conducting field work as part of the major construction developments.

In addition to the above your role includes:

Sample Testing: You’ll be out in the field or in the lab, obtaining samples and performing quality control tests on various materials.

Data Crunching: Enter and analyse data to keep our standards high and our clients happy.

Big Picture Thinking: Not just the ‘how’ but the ‘why’ you’ll be digging into the real-world implications of the results you achieve.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Able to work both Day and Night Shifts

  • A Class 1 Full Drivers licence, Class 2 will be advantageous 

  • Whilst formal qualifications in an engineering, geotechnical or material science background are advantageous. (It is not a prerequisite as all position-based training will be offered to the successful applicant)

  • Similar experience in asphalt, aggregate testing is preferred or knowledge of materials

  • A strong health and safety mentality alongside excellent communication skills both written and verbal
