The Cost and Progress Manager at Nokia performs proactive progress and cost control in one or more projects / annuity business cases for MN. The role drives and ensures cost consciousness and awareness in execution team. Enables end-to-end transparent cost visibility for project with efficient setup and reporting. The Cost and Progress Manager plays a crucial role in driving project and program cost performance..

 

Project Setup and Cost Control

  • Create and maintain WBS structure, SvO, VOA for Resources cost booking, Subcon PO issuance/acceptance/invoicing as part of overall Project ERP (P20) Setup on time.
  • Control the costs not to exceed the approved project budgets.
  • Ensure all Changes to be reviewed and approved before its execution.

Financial Management

  • Manage the revenue, cost and profit on MN portion of HW, SW and Services in respective Customer Team (CT) projects.
  • Consolidate all the input data/information for financial LE forecasting.
  • Provide the project financial position of Estimate At Completion (EAC) and variance against As Sold Baseline (ASBL).
  • Analyze the financial LE variations or movement for the review with Business Owners.
  • Contribute to verifying customer order backlog (OBL) for financial LE forecasting.
  • Analyze the customer PO dependencies for financial LE forecasting.
  • Analyze the risks and impact on financial LE forecasting.
  • Align LE forecasting and EAC update against transformation DI3 and DI4 milestone.
  • Challenge the input providers in case of any input quality or delay issues.
  • Ensure the consistent revenue and cost planning and recognition timeline.
  • Review EAC with the respective Project Business Manager.
  • Enter the financial data into the tool on time as agreed within the project team.
  • Drive the enhancement of financial LE forecasting processes and methodologies.
  • Contribute to aging inventory analysis and liquidation planning for improvement.
