We are looking for an experienced Bid Writer on a permanent part-time basis (days and hours negotiable for the right candidate) to support our Projects team due to a significant increase in workload. Our ideal candidate is a creative thinker, versatile content creator and deadline driven. They are an excellent communicator with a proven track record in developing compelling tender submissions.
What you will be doing
As a confident writer with excellent communication skills, you possess the ability to take multiple concepts and write with one voice. Though every day will be different, responsibilities in this role will include;
Managing input from a diverse team to write compliant, compelling and succinct tender responses
Contributing to win strategy and themes and clearly articulating these through submissions
Liaising with, enabling and supporting input from Subject Matter Experts to develop great content
Translating technical information into plain English for a range of stakeholders
Coordination of the submission process including deadlines, interactions and document control
Reviewing submission performance to understand client feedback and to promote improvement
Maintaining strong internal and external stakeholder relationships and networks
Conducting customer research and maintaining good understanding of client objectives, strategy and plans to develop exceptional submission content

We’re looking for someone with:
A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar position (or exposure with the Civil Construction, Communications or Sales and Marketing industries)
Proven ability to plan, produce and deliver compliant proposal documents
Effective organisation, time management, prioritisation and multi-tasking skills
The ability to thrive under pressure with a deadline-driven attitude
The ability to take ownership and close out actions
Attention to detail
Excellent literacy skills, with professional vocabulary
Resilience and ability to quickly adapt to change
The ability to work closely with and in support of technical experts to ask great questions and gather accurate and relevant information
Ability to relate and communicate effectively with both internal and external parties and across multiple levels of the business.
A creative and innovative side, along with the ability and confidence to challenge extended thinking
