Your new role

We have a great opportunity for a Warehouse Manager to join us and lead a team of passionate people. Based at our Avondale site, this permanent, full-time role will be responsible for ensuring we deliver a great customer experience through the efficient and effective running of our NZ warehouse operation, so that all material/finished goods movements are reliable and as per KPIs and standards.

In this role you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all warehouse operations for GWA New Zealand, and will make decisions about priorities, workflow and resourcing needed. You will work in conjunction with Head of NZ Supply Chain and Operations to set warehouse direction, track KPIs and be available to coach and provide support on Best-Practice and new project initiatives. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with health and safety standards, fostering a culture of safety within the warehouse operations.

 

About you

Along with 5 years’ experience in warehouse and distribution, if you tick the boxes on the following, then we want to hear from you:

  • Proven experience in effective and efficient warehousing and distribution management,
  • Experienced using ERP and WMS systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 is desirable, but not essential)
  • Be an excellent communicator and experienced leading and managing warehouse teams
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and guiding warehouse teams
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office suite to prepare and report
  • Experience in coordinating quality inspection reports to internal and external stakeholders
  • Safety experience in warehouse operations is highly desirable
