The Asphalt Operator is responsible for the safe operation of the Asphalt Plant during all asphalt manufacturing tasks. Tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to the operating of the loader, safety, maintenance, quality tasks, housekeeping, leading production shifts and other general responsibilities.

This role will see you working on road surface, rotomilling, rehabilitation and stabilisation, road widening and pavement overlays and works. You will undertake daily machinery checks and complete the necessary maintenance. You will also assist the crew with operating chip spreaders and as a spotter for reversing trucks.

In addition to the above you will: 

• Operate and maintain asphalt machinery and equipment to ensure high-quality road surfaces.

• Work collaboratively with a skilled team to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.

• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and industry standards at all times.

We’re looking for someone with: 

• Experience in either Asphalt Paving, Milling or Sealing is a must. 

• Experience in operating asphalt machinery and equipment in road construction projects.

• Full Class 2 licence with WTR and DG endorsements

• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high quality work.

• Ability to work effectively in a team, demonstrating reliability, strong communication skills, and a proactive attitude.

• Good understanding of safety protocols and industry standards, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment.
