te tūranga | About the Role

Are you an energetic and proactive leader with a passion for IT? We are seeking an ICT Team Lead to join our dynamic organisation and lead our IT team to success.

At Hōhepa, we are a collaborative group driven by our mission to make a positive difference in people's lives. As our ICT Team Lead, you will play a crucial role in leading the IT department, supporting the IT needs of Hōhepa employees, residential services, and the individuals we support. You will report directly to our General Manager and oversee one direct report.

This role offers a dynamic and diverse experience, with each day bringing new and exciting challenges. We seek someone who excels in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment and is eager to embrace new opportunities.

In this role you will/be:

  • Bring ICT perspective to working groups with users to set a continuous improvement cycle for key applications across the business.
  • Setup of Azure configuration policies.
  • System auditing. 
  • Provide leadership to the ICT team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates, discuss projects, and address any challenges.
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems and licences.
  • Provide technical and troubleshooting assistance to employees and people we support.
  • Delivery of all IT induction training and ad hoc training needs as identified.
  • Input into wider training requirements and gaps within Hōhepa.
  • Ownership of helpdesk services, using the online ticketing system.
  • Develop and enforce ICT policies and procedures to promote responsible use of technology and data privacy.

Nga haora kua tohua | Rostered hours:

  • Monday to Friday 

This role is 32 - 40 hours per week, and we’re open to discussing flexible employment practices, including partial working from home and adaptive working hours.

koe | About You

  • You will have a tertiary qualification in a related discipline or equivalent experience and knowledge. 
  • You will have a minimum of 7 years’ experience in the IT environment. 
  • You will have superb interpersonal and communication skills and will be comfortable providing IT support to Hōhepa employees.
  • Your proactive and naturally positive approach will be complimented by your open communication style.
  • You will have experience with Cyber Security best practice and familiar with hardware configuration. 
  • M365 Administrator 
  • You will have proven leadership abilities and experience managing teams and projects. 
  • You will have demonstrated energy, resilience, and the capacity to bring creative ideas to the table.
