We are searching for two Commercial Analysts (one being a Senior role) as part of our Sales Excellence and Commercial team. These are newly created positions where you will play a critical role in financial modelling and pricing globally. While these roles are Wellington based, you will be liaising with colleagues in APAC, UK / Europe and North America on a regular basis.
While each day will bring something different as each of the prospective deals we have underway vary, a big component of this role will involve setting up templates for financial forecasting for any new business / prospective clients. To be successful in this role, you will have a curious mindset where you’re not afraid to ask questions and look beyond the obvious to deliver fantastic outcomes for our stakeholders.
The responsibilities will include:
Extensive strategic and financial analysis.
Produce in depth financial forecasts as and when required.
Document pricing in line with existing pricing strategies across FNZ.
Collaborate with key stakeholders across our global organisation to deliver financial modelling in accordance with any deals underway.
Support definition and maintenance of the whole commercial strategy playbook, across pricing and contract terms.
Support regional compliance with new business and new product approval policy and guidance.
There is an expectation that the Senior Commercial Analyst will take on additional responsibilities inclusive of being able to confidently lead modelling discussions with key stakeholders. This is critical to the delivery of outcomes across the wider team.
What are we ideally looking for in a successful candidate:
Curious with a penchant for accuracy.
Advanced strategic analysis (including pricing, financial and transaction) toolkit.
Exceptional communication skills, confident in dealing with internal and external clients including at a Board and Executive level.
Ability to work under pressure as part of an effective, cross-functional, global team.
Knowledge of financial services and technology.
Experience working within a global organisation supporting global initiatives.
Accounting experience desirable but not essential.
Degree qualified desirable but not essential.
Experience in Strategy or Finance desirable but not essential.
Flexibility regarding work hours, to enable effective collaboration across time zones.
