Mō te tūranga - About the role
In Technology Operations Delivery (TOD), we deliver technology solutions which include new initiatives, significant system upgrades, and remediation activity to support the wider Tech Ops domain and our business stakeholders. As the Senior Business Analyst, you will play a key role in a domain focused on foundational technology projects and initiatives that underpin the bank’s platforms.
The Business Analysis capability enables the delivery of effective technical business analysis services for small to large complex initiatives across all our TOD Portfolios. This includes collaborating with customers, stakeholders and technology partners to delivery customer outcomes. Additionally, it involves proactive participation in the analysis domain through mentoring/coaching, as well as identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement.

What will your day look like?
As a Senior Technical Business Analyst, you would have the opportunity to:

To be part of a domain where you will be exposed to foundational technology projects/initiatives that under pins the bank’s platforms

Build and maintain effective relationships with peers, colleagues, managers, and other key stakeholders; anticipating and responding to evolving customer needs through controlling and delivering project communications

Facilitate & participate in Daily Scrums, Sprint Planning, Reviews and Retrospectives

Shape and sustain the analysis approach in a complex environment

Liaise closely with Product Owners, Senior Technical Leads to ensure delivery meets critical program timelines

Ensure delivery of Project controls (ADF, Security, Cloud)

Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to define problem statements and translating them into User-stories and Backlog items (using JIRA/Confluence)

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

A proven track record with four plus years previous Business Analysis Experience gained across a variety of project types.

Ability to build relationship with stakeholders within the business and technology

Technology domain knowledge required. Banking background preferred.

Experience of following and leveraging a range of Project Delivery Methodologies (i.e.: Waterfall and Agile)

Ability to articulate and explain information to stakeholders, peers and managers using the appropriate medium
