Assistant Management Accountant

We have created an Assistant Management Accountant role in our Commercial Finance team to help with financial support and insight across the business. The successful candidate will support the Finance Business Partner and Commercial Finance team in partnering the branches and their Business Managers as well as key stakeholders in the central head office.

In this role you will be required to:
- Assist the Business Managers and other cross functional management to help them understand financial systems and increase their financial literacy
- Support the Commercial Finance team to partner with Business to develop workable action plans in relation to identified adverse trends, as well as to help to identify opportunities.
- Utilise data analytics to derive valuable insights to support key decisions within the business
- Provide accurate forecast information to facilitate management decision making including the identification and monitoring of risks & opportunities and associated action plans.
- Conduct analysis to understand the drivers and KPIs of the business and monitor to ensure the business performs as expected
- Review existing processes, make recommendations for improvement, document new processes, obtain buy-in from stakeholders and implement change successfully
- Participate in and support special projects as and when they arise
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- 3+ years accounting & finance experience
- Working towards CA/CPA qualification
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Good attention to detail
- Creativity in problem-solving
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adaptive to changing situations
- Proficiency in financial and accounting systems (ERP’s)
- Advanced Knowledge of MS Excel, and Google Suite (Sheets, Slides)
