About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our growing business as a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor based in Highbrook, Auckland. You will be part of a fun and collaborative team driving proactive engagement and continuous improvement across all aspects of Health, Safety and Wellbeing.

Reporting to the Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager - Group Services , you will support a diverse risk portfolio including corporate office, sales, site services, recycling, catering, and warehousing operations. You will build strong relationships based on trust and collaboration, working alongside a supportive team to provide Health, Safety and Wellbeing leadership, guidance and support across the business unit.

 

About You

To succeed in this role, you need to be passionate about people and ensuring their health, safety and wellbeing. You will have strong relationship building skills, be self-motivated and dependable. You will be able to communicate clearly and concisely to different audiences, with a keen desire to learn and grow. A good sense of humour and the ability to have a laugh is also a must!

 

Skills and Experience 

  • At least 2 years of experience in a Health, Safety, and Wellbeing (HSW) role, ideally within a large-scale industry.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification or recognised HSW certification is preferred, but not essential.
  • Good working knowledge of applicable HSW legislation, regulations, and best practices.
  • Experience in incident investigation, hazardous substance management, and contractor management is highly desirable, but not essential.

  • A true passion for people and their Health, Safety and Wellbeing
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to collaborate with, influence and engage others to drive understanding and proactive change
  • Excellent organisation skills, including the ability to work independently without direct supervision and also as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
