  • Permanent, part-time position – 0.7 FTE (28 hours per week)

Are you an Enrolled Nurse looking for a new and exciting challenge in a growing team? Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora / Southern has an exciting opportunity for you to join the Regional Home Haemodialysis team.  We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Enrolled Nurse (Dialysis experience not essential)  to join our team on a permanent, part-time basis.

 

Mō te tūranga | About the role

The Dialysis service is committed to and provides for home-based dialysis therapy from Waitaki to the Bluff and Central Otago. 

 

  • Provide the full haemodialysis therapy to patients in their homes or Aged Residential Care facilities,
  • Collaborate with others to support patients in managing their dialysis at home or complete their training as well as being available to work in the Hospital Dialysis Unit/s as and when required.
  • Deliver care under the direction and delegation of a Registered Nurse or Clinical Physiologist,
  • Rostered and rotating capacity inclusive of weekends and afternoons, as required,
  • Travel within the district to provide dialysis cover.
  • A comprehensive orientation and training programme along with ongoing support is provided.
  • Availability to train and orientate to the position in a temporary full-time capacity would be preferable.

  • A current Annual Practicing Certificate with the right to work in New Zealand
  • Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with other health professionals
  • Excellent time management, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • The ability to be adaptable, flexible and solution-focused
  • A full clean driver’s license

Utu whānui | Salary range

This role belongs to the NZNO Nursing & Midwifery Collective Agreement, Enrolled Nurse scale and falls between Step 1 ($69.934 p.a. pro rata) and Step 5 ($83,349 p.a. pro rata). of the EN Scale.
