About the Role: 

As a Payroll Coordinator you will be responsible for ensuring all day-to-day payroll activities are processed in an accurate and efficient manner, related systems are maintained and up to date as well as maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and organisational policies.

In this role, you will also need to be confident in calculating our weekly commissions and monthly and quarterly bonuses. 

Your role will contribute to the reputation of our Finance group as an effective, high-quality, and responsive function. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee the Payroll system and maintain a strong relationship with our payroll system provider (Datacom) 
  • Deliver accurate and timely payroll services.
  • Accurately calculating and making payments of weekly commission, monthly and quarterly bonuses.
  • Timely processing and reconciliation of commission and bonus clawbacks adhering to company policy.
  • Accurately and efficiently process weekly wages & salary and month end related payroll journals in BC
  • Provide support during the implementation of new system and processes 
  • Build positive and effective working relationships

About you: 

We’re searching for a candidate with the following qualifications and attributes: 

  • Relevant Degree in Business or Finance (Preferred)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using technology systems, particularly Microsoft and Excel at a high level 
  • Proven track record of fostering successful working relationships with colleagues
