Mō te tīma  / About our team


The Performance and Reporting team is responsible for delivering MSD’s performance, reporting, monitoring, and accountability information. Our work covers a broad range of tasks, including producing and publishing statistics, responding to information requests, and helping users understand what’s happening in the benefit system. We also oversee MSD’s forecasting and costing functions and collaborate closely with the wider Insights group to create user-friendly data visualisations and designs.

The Operations Analyst plays a key role in supporting the Performance and Reporting team by optimising workload management and coordinating reporting, planning, and scheduling across teams. Key responsibilities include workflow management, business improvement, and providing analytical support during busy periods to enhance performance and reporting.


Additionally, the Operations Analyst will champion continuous improvement across the Group, ensuring efficient workload management and supporting decision-making for the General Manager, the Performance and Reporting team, and other stakeholders.

 

Skills and experience - Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako

 

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent operational experience.
  • Strong analytical skills with knowledge of business processes, systems, Agile delivery methods and data, including the ability to define data requirements and extract insights.
  • Proven experience delivering clear and high-quality analysis or insights for non-technical audiences, using tools like SAS, R, or PowerBI.
  • Excellent ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Experience in environments requiring discretion, sensitivity, and strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships.
  • Strong writing skills—clear, accurate, and tailored to the audience.
  • Experience working well in a team, showing initiative, thinking ahead, and adapting to change while solving problems and addressing challenges proactively.
