Mō te tūranga | About the role

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to ensure our community's buildings and facilities are well maintained through the efficient and successful oversight of our maintenance schedule, contractors, and maintenance team members.

This role is packed full of variety, where no two days will be the same. You will regularly collaborate with other teams within the community and build strong relationships with our residents. The successful applicant will have a maintenance/trade background and display the following:

• nderstand and manage local and central government compliance schedules (BWOF)
• Able to manage and implement LTMP and service maintenance plan
• Customer service focus with special respect for aged care and older New Zealanders
• Able to manage technical systems, and use computer software effectively
• Great natural rapport with a wide range of people and excellent communicator with all personality types
• Flexible and reliable approach to work
• Physically fit 
• Great at solving problems and getting things done to a high standard
• Ability to function and contribute effectively in a team environment.
• Attention to detail, high-quality work, with speed and accuracy
• Professional presentation and attitude
• Strong time management skills
• Ability to maintain focus while working individually.
• Able to assist with the refurbishment of rooms and apartments.

Qualifications

To tatou kaitono pai | What you bring

• Full NZ Driver’s license
• Experience in the general maintenance of a building, and various types of machinery and equipment.
• A good understanding of BWOF and compliance.
• Preferably Trade background
• Understanding of services such as electrical, fire, lifts, HVAC and refrigeration systems etc
• Site safe passport
• Health and Safety background and documentation responsibility
