Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About the Role:
As the Senior Advisor you will support the work of the Ministerial and Executive Services team (MaES) by providing direct and high level strategic, organisational, and operational advice.
You will actively contribute to the team by supporting the work we do including such things as:
• Official Information Act requests
• Ministerial and Executive correspondence
• Privacy Act requests
• Ministerial Briefings
• Complaints
• Parliamentary questions
• Select Committee processes
• the proactive release of information
• Ombudsman and Privacy Commissioner enquiries
You will work collaboratively with the Manager of MaES, the wider MaES team, Office of the Chief Executive, and Deputy Chief Executives to support the delivery of this work.
This is a 6 month fixed term role.
Ko wai koe | About You:
You will have Demonstrated experience within the government sector, including advising on policy, service delivery, parliamentary processes, and Ministerial issues.
You will have proven experience in designing and providing appropriate responses of the management of Official Information Act requests, the complaints process, Privacy Act requests, Ministerial correspondence, Parliamentary Questions, Select Committee responses, and other parliamentary and ministerial processes.
Your demonstrated ability to establish positive relationships and credibility at a high level will ensure you are comfortable working in collaborative relationships with Minister’s offices, leadership teams, peers and other stakeholders.
You will have highly effective organisation and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise and a demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgement to identify, mitigate and escalate risk or developing appropriate responses.
To undertake this role successfully, you will be a disabled person or be able to establish credibility and trust with the disability community, as well as having empathy and an understanding of the unique and diverse experiences of disabled people.

Salary range: $102,533.00 - $124,402.00
