About the role

We are looking for Quality Control Assistants to join the QA team at our Ashburton vegetable plant, for the upcoming harvest season. Potato storage season will be starting in January 2025 and finishes approximately around the end of May 2025.

We operate on a 4 ON 4 OFF roster with 12-hour shifts and will be working Day or Night as directed. Remuneration will be based on experience.

As a Quality Control Assistant, you will be responsible for:

• Completing quality testing of the harvested potatoes
• Performing all routine quality tests following procedures
• Communication with departments involved when there is an issue
• Complying with HACCP, Food Safety, Quality and Health and safety

Qualifications

For this role, you’ll need:

• Interest in working in a fast-paced environment,
• Experience working with Excel, Word, and other online tools,
• Good understanding of H&S, environmental and food safety,
• To be physically fit to lift weights and work for 12 hours on a shift.
