Job Description

About the role

We are looking for a H&S Co-ordinator to promote and oversee all aspects of health and safety on our Timaru site. You will work alongside the Site Manager, Talley’s Ltd H&S Manager, and other key personnel to develop and maintain safe systems and culture.

As a H&S Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for:

• Supporting the Site Manager and management team in the successful delivery of the site H&S plan and achievement of H&S goals
• Ensuring the site has well-maintained hazard and risk management processes      
• Ensuring the site has effective emergency management plans and protocols in place
• Acting as the site champion and custodian of Assura and Safety Culture, ensuring the information is accurate
• Acting as the go to person on site for guidance and the effective implementation of the Talley’s HSWE program and expectations

Qualifications

For this role, you’ll need:

• Prior knowledge and experience within H&S is preferred
• To be highly organised and motivated
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A positive attitude and ability to adapt
• The ability to self-manage and use initiative
