The Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Bitumen Sprayer Operator to join our Maintenance Reseals Crew based out of Mount Wellington- Auckland.

Working alongside the roading reseals crew, you will perform the duties of a Specialist Operator to ensure the Class 4 sprayer truck is applying bitumen to the roads per the correct adjustment settings.

In addition to the above you will

• Drive and operate the Bitumen Gangbar Sprayer Truck and be the passenger Spray Person when required

• Ensure the sprayer is filled with the correct type of bitumen and check the functions of the truck is per H&S protocols

• Performa routine maintenance per pre start requirements

• Oversee the quality control of the Bitumen spray rates

• Monitor and make application adjustments as needed to ensure the accuracy of the spray fans.

• You may also be part of asphalt labourer duties when needed

We’re looking for someone with

• At least 3 - 5 years as a Bitumen Sprayer/Operator is required

• Hold a Class 4 is preferred

• Dangerous Goods and WTR endorsement is preferred

• Able to perform physical labourer duties

• Good level of communication in both verbal and written

• Confident using devices such as iPads, Laptops

This is a permanent , full time position. The wage is between $26.72 to 35.78 per hour plus overtime and allowances. The position title will be officially (Specialist Operator).
