Job Description

Mō te tūranga | About the Role

Our Housekeepers contribute to the quality of life of our residents by maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene across our community, and ensuring a comfortable environment for our residents.

In this Team Leader role, you will be responsible for the co-ordination a small team of housekeepers, resident interaction, and maintaining supplies and equipment required to fulfill the role. In addition you will take a hands on role in the cleaning  of all areas within our community - including resident rooms and the interior of our facilities. You will liaise with other team members to identify areas that require special cleaning. This role reports directly to the Village Manager.

Qualifications

To tatou kaitono pai | Our ideal candidate must have

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience,  
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
• The ability to work cohesively with colleagues as part of a team, and be highly responsible and reliable
• The ability to focus on our resident needs and remain calm and courteous
• A good level of physical fitness.
• Valid New Zealand Drivers License.
• Previous team leader or supervisory experience will be highly regarded.
