We are looking for a RPZ & New Connections Manager to join our busy Hastings based Water Maintenance team to help deliver the good work we’re known for! This is an exciting opportunity for a project engineer / junior project manager to gain valued experience in the Civil Engineering industry. The successful applicant will possess relevant technical capabilities, be a good communicator, and someone who is able to form strong relationships with clients, co-workers and other stakeholders.
You will:
Be responsible for the day-to-day management of new connections and installation of reduced pressure zone (RPZ) assemblies, as part of the Hastings District Council Water Repair & Maintenance Contract
Manage health and safety compliance, environmental compliance, quality assurance, resource management, planning and programming and managing of sub-contractors

We’re looking for someone with:
Experience working in the civil engineering industry with a minimum of 12 Months in a management / supervisory position
Relevant Engineering Qualification i.e. Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma, NZCE with minimum 2 years’ experience; or significant relevant industry experience in the absence of a relevant qualification
Passionate about Health and Safety
Computer literate (MS Word, MS Excel etc.)
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Financial acumen
