As a highly talented and creative Senior Graphic Designer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our brandβs visual identity. Youβll craft dynamic visual content that brings our brand stories to life across video, motion, and print design.
What you will bring:
- β 5β8+ years industry experience in a similar role
- π A relevant qualification in Graphic Design from a tertiary-level institute
- π» Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Figma) with a special focus on After Effects (Illustration skills are a plus!)
- π₯ Experience in Adobe Premiere Pro and 3D design (e.g., Cinema 4D) is an added advantage
- π Excellent visual design skills with a keen eye for detail, typography, color, and layout
- π£οΈ Strong communication skills β articulate design concepts and decisions effectively
- π§ Creative problem-solving and self-management skills
- β±οΈ Time management: Handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- π Interest in the Beauty space and an affinity for refined and elegant design
Roles & Responsibilities
- π¨ Design and Execution
- βοΈ Develop and execute compelling visual designs for various platforms, including:π± Digital (social media: paid + organic), π₯οΈ Websites, ποΈ Print (influencer boxes, marketing collateral, in-store displays)
- π₯ Lead the execution of video projects from concept to final delivery (storyboarding, animation, editing, and sound design).
- π’ Design promotional materials with an understanding of beauty trends and consumer preferences.
- πΌοΈ Create mood boards, style guides, and design concepts aligned with the brand's vision. Craft comprehensive creative briefs for in-house and external teams.
- β¨ Brand Development
- π Continuously evolve the visual identity of beauty brands to stay competitive in the market.
- π Lead the creation of new design templates and guidelines to support brand consistency across all touchpoints.
- π Stay updated on the latest beauty design trends and experiment with new techniques and tools to keep the brand visually ahead of the curve.
- βοΈQuality control:
- β Ensure all design work meets brand standards
- π οΈ Oversee production processes for printed materials, ensuring colour accuracy, print quality and alignment with design vision.
- π΅Β Budget Management:
- π Where required manage design-related budgets, ensuring projects are completed within financial constraints.
- π Source and negotiate with external suppliers (e.g., printers, photographers) when necessary.
- πΒ Other tasks management may deem appropriate from time to time.
- π€ Collaboration & Leadership
- π‘οΈ Act as a brand guardian, maintaining and evolving the brand identity across all visual communications.
- π Provide mentorship to junior designers, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment in the team. Support them in developing their skills as a designer.
- π€ Work closely with marketing, product development, and sales teams to ensure design work aligns with brand guidelines, campaign objectives and business goals.
- πΈ Collaborate with copywriters, photographers, and external agencies.
