Join us as a Paving Foreman in Palmerston North

As a Paving Foreman you will lead your Asphalt Crew to deliver work on time, to budget, safely, and to the highest quality standard. As a Foremen you are responsible for the running of day-to-day operation and the coordination of all employees, plant resources and sub-contract personnel in your area of control.

In addition to the above you will:

• Compete all documentation required for the role including time sheets, daily job sheets, pre start inspections, plant usage sheets, quality checklists, hazard IDs

• Coordinate, plan and organise plant, labour, sub-contractors suppliers as required for projects or works

• Oversee the laying of asphalt during a construction project

We’re looking for someone with:

• Experience in civil construction specifically in a Foreman/asphalt role

• Knowledge of materials, methods and tools involved in road construction and maintenance

• Knowledge of machines and tools, including design, use repair and maintenance

• Competent in the operation and basic maintenance of all equipment for relevant industry

• Understands how to clean up spills of all products being worked with

• Minimum Class 2 licence with WTR endorsements

• Experience with communication to and leading others
