We are looking for a Financial Controller to join the team based on NZ preferably Wellington.

This role plays a key role supporting our Head of Finance, Oceania who is based in Australia ensuring the integrity and timeliness of the delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting results and forecasting to our internal stakeholders for our NZ business.

It is important you are able to hit the ground running in this role and experience working in larger organisations across the Oceania region would be beneficial.

Furthermore, you will be:

  • Reviewing and finalising month end results
  • Maintaining JSOX compliance and effective engagement with internal and external auditors
  • Leading team to complete monthly, quarterly and annual forecast
  • Coach and support the on and off-shore team to maintain a high quality of delivery
  • Contribute to continuous process improvements
  • Assist in other Financial Controllers in ad-hoc work when required
  • Other ad-hoc project work and analysis from time to time to support the business to ensure in line with finance process and best practice

To hit the ground running we are ideally looking for someone with:

  • A demonstrated accounting Background, with CA / CPA qualification
  • 5 years + prior experience in a similar role, specifically with finance management/control experiences in sizable service industry
  • Hands-on and yet analytical
  • ICT similar industry highly desirable
  • Experience with SAP ERP system essential
  • Team player, self-starter, fast learner, attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to build rapport and interact effectively at various levels of the organisation
  • Strong organisational skills with ability to plan and prioritise effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team within a dynamic environment
