Job Description

What does a Dental Assistant Do? A Dental Assistant is a critical part of our team! You will support our highly experienced team of clinicians with various interesting dental procedures during patient appointments. You will also take responsibility for instrument sterilisation and infection control and also stock control. Working beside experienced Dentists will give you a great insight into our practice and a rare opportunity to learn from one of the best.

The hours role this role are: 

• Tuesday: 8.30am - 1.30pm
• Wednesday: 4.45pm - 8.15pm

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following:

• Previous experience as Dental Assistant or in the healthcare industry is advantageous but not essential. We are willing to fully train the right person!
• A natural multi-tasker that thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Warm and positive attitude and team-orientated approach.
• Strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, listening and interpersonal skills.

Additional Information

Mosgiel is part of Dunedin, but separated from the city by hills. It takes its name from Mosgiel in Ayrshire, the farm of poet Robbie Burns, who was the uncle of one of Dunedin's founders.

• Just a 15 minute drive to Central Dunedin or 30 minutes by bus
• The practice is situated on the main strip, walking distance to shops, cafes and amenities.
