Business Development Manager

About your role

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Business Development Manager to join a fast-paced, dynamic organisation. This is a newly created position and will be responsible for working with the Business manager, sales manager, product manager to develop detailed plans to create new revenue generation opportunities and execution of Agriculture growth opportunities in Mt Maunganui and Waikato region. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders and experts, this role will be responsible for direct management of assigned growth projects ensuring all are delivered to plan.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all supplier and product related SH&E requirements are met within the defined timeframe and guidelines of the Ixom SH&E policy
• Assist customers to ensure storage facilities comply with current legislation and Ixom standards
• Managing key projects within the market segment to achieve their individual targets
• Deliver annual quantity, revenue and gross margin targets for market segment
• Support the drafting of customer contracts and approval requests by working with Product Manager, Business Managers and Legal Counsel to ensure the best commercial outcome is secured for Ixom
• Maintain strategic relationships with key customers and action all customer queries as a matter of priority
• Work within and across IXOM to develop strategic plans to create new profit generation opportunities
• Understand Agricultures strategies and growth objectives to direct focus for innovation and development
•  Manage the pipeline of opportunities, ensuring priorities remain current and progress to plan through regular project sponsor/stakeholder reviews
•  Identify innovation & development opportunities which align with Ixom's strategic requirements

Who are we looking for?

• 10+ years’ work experience in a technical discipline Farming/Agriculture
• Experience with Sales/Product Management & Marketing experience is preferred
• Experience in key market segment – Agriculture
• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels, and to build strong external network
• Self-Starter with ability to work autonomously
