The Role

Calling Graduates keen to start their career in Sustainability Advisory in 2025!

In 2024 we proudly published our first Fisher & Paykel Carbon Impact Statement  https://www.fisherpaykel.com/nz/carbon-impact setting out our public and transparent commitment to our people, our customers, and our partners outlining the changes we intend to drive right across Fisher & Paykel towards our ambition to mitigate the negative impact we have on the climate.  The Statement provides a clear view of the 2020 carbon baseline analysis of our business, from which we have developed the goals, strategy and roadmap that we believe will deliver the biggest carbon reduction impact over time

As part of this commitment, we now have an opportunity for an exceptional graduate to join our small specialist Carbon Zero Transition team early in 2025.

Working alongside our existing Sustainability Business Partners and based in Auckland, you’ll benefit from strong leadership and mentoring as well as having the opportunity to own specific pieces of work towards the achievement of goals set out in the Statement, our strategy and our roadmap.

Do you meet the brief?

We are looking for a diverse group of applicants who demonstrate:

  • A clear commitment to growing a career in sustainability leadership
  • Strong professional communication skills for a diverse audience
  • A passion for, and connection to, our Carbon Impact reduction strategy
  • Curiosity and initiative with a drive to ongoing learning and development
  • Ability to contribute positively and professionally in a team environment, while also being self-driven.

You will need to be on target to complete your studies in 2024 or early 2025 towards an Undergraduate or Postgraduate Degree. A specialisation in relevant courses such as Environmental Science or Management, Climate Action, or Sustainable Business will be an advantage.

What’s on offer…

So much!  We have a strong track record of growing graduate talent here at Fisher and Paykel.  Our CEO started here as a grad, and so did our EVP of Carbon Zero and many other senior leaders. We are also proud to have been recognised as the top graduate employer in NZ Manufacturing and R&D two years running, and pride ourselves in providing a safe and supportive work environment for you to be your best.

Our grads tell us they love the opportunity to learn from some of the best talent from across the world, our collaborative team-based culture that values diversity and fun alongside high performance, and ongoing extensive investment personal learning and development.

We also offer a competitive salary, generous Kiwisaver or a Student Loan payback scheme, discounted medical insurance, life and disability insurance, and multiple corporate discounts with banks and retailers.

Please note, we are open to applicants who can start in January or slightly later in 2025, and you will be asked your preferred start date in the application questions.  Get your Academic Transcript and CV ready and be ready to inspire us with your answers to some initial questions.

Applications close Sunday 13 October.
