Job Description
About the role
As a Shared Services Accountant, you will ensure the completeness and accuracy of the Pact Group’s financial accounting results.
This role involves collaborating with a team of shared services accounting and site finance professionals, all working together to achieve the group’s reporting outcomes.
You will be responsible for the following:
- Complete month end accounting requirements for designated areas accurately and within required Group reporting deadlines.
- Complete Balance Sheet Reconciliations for designated division/segments – including investigation and resolution of any risk items identified through the review process, ensuring the integrity of the Pact Group ledger at all times.
- Ensure all financial activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Complete cyclical Rise & Fall calculations accurately and on time for review by site finance teams.
- Provide financial support and guidance to other departments and business units.
- To ensure compliance with the Health and Safety in Employment legislation, and Pact policies.
- Assist with site finance queries as required.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Atleast 3 to 5 years' experience in accounting or finance, preferably within a shared services environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CAANZ, ACCA) are an advantage.
- SAP user experience
- Intermediate skills in Excel
- Effective communication (written & oral) skills
- Ability to develop relationships and positively influence people.
- Adaptable and flexible within a changing work environment
