About this opportunity
You will be responsible for all aspects of the credit control function and overdue debt as defined by the Senior Credit Controller or Management. To provide backup support to team members and roster shared weekly tasks. To be able to work independently and manage timelines to achieve the desired outcome. To actively review current processes, identify areas of concern and recommend changes for the benefit of our collections process.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Achieve monthly cash collection targets.
- Ensure all customers to pay to terms with minimal overdue debt.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders & external customers.
- Complete all operational tasks within the timeline given.
- A united team, working efficiently & effectively together.
- Gain operational knowledge & skills.
- Become self-aware of strengths & areas of improvement.
- Understand how & why people interact & behave as they do.
- Can cover the other Credit Controller if necessary.
Your skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you’ll have:
Essential:
- Minimum 3 – 5 years solid experience as Credit Controller
- Sound knowledge of general accounting procedures
- Reconciliation skills
- SAP Experience
- Immediate Experience in Excel ie pivot tables, vlookup, reporting etc.
Desirable:
- Experience working for fast paced environment
- Experience working in a Shared Services Centre
- Can negotiate an outcome.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
