Description

Stock Management:

  • Oversee stock situation, report and update to HKG about shortage/surplus/forecast and request for MT evacuation in/out.
  • Stock control and management at each location to meet customer/HO requirements.
  • Tracking FIFO from vendor, clear long idle.
  • Oversee MNR performance in term of approval and speed of repair.

IQ Ship:

  • Assist staff for intermodal/requisition/TO process of inland transportation between port/depot.
  • Clear POs related logistics expenses (ZLS, ZLT, ZSO, ZSR, ZMR) in due time.
  • Attend other pending matter for on-going logistics progression as well as SAP, new EDI set up, IAS set up, etc. 

Operations, capacity and contingency management:

  • Maintain an excellent working relationship locally with any/all VSA partners, ensure all VSA partner schedules are accurate and monitored daily for all changes.
  • Ensure COPRAR issued to VSA partners as per agreed process.
  • Ensure CBF issued to VSA partners as per agreed process.
  • Manage all operational contingencies through identification of the issue, impact assessment and solution recommendation in close coordination with ZIM NZ CUS and Sales.
  • Oversee establishment of routings from request to systems update in close coordination with ZIM NZ CUS.
  • Oversee monitoring of all 2nd and or 3rd leg connections to minimize delays.   

Terminal, Vendor and Colleague from other Lines:

  • Maintain good relationship with depot/vendor. Regular update with them on plan/policy and understand whether it will affect our equipment control. Knowing the trend/ requirement in market on equipment SZ/TP.


Requirements

  • Previous experience in primarily in Equipment Management.
  • Operations management experience preferred but not essential 
  • At least 5 years’ experience in the shipping or cargo logistics industry is preferred
  • High level of computer literacy/ Intermediate to Advanced skills in Excel
  • Previous experience with import/export shipping, market and Customs processes is preferred
  • Fluent in English – both written and spoken
  • Ability to work towards a deadline
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Previous experience with IQ Ship operating system (desirable)
